Our mission is to reach the kids in our church and community to communicate God’s incredible love for them and what it looks like to be a Jesus follower in a fun and creative environment where they can be free to laugh and learn.
IPC'S FAMILY CHALLENGE
Follow along on our Facebook page for our
IPC Family Challenge:
Earn points for your family team! Take a picture of you and your family completing each challenge and participating in each event. Post the picture to our IPC Children’s Ministry Facebook page OR e-mail it to firstname.lastname@example.org. The family team with the most points by the end of July will win a prize!
Note: you can do the events on any day that works for your family (you can do the event written on July 1st on Sunday if that works better for your family! Just make sure you post it before the end of the month so it counts towards your family points!)
“We see a nurturing church supporting and equipping parents to effectively pass on a living Christian faith to their children, preparing the next generation to be grounded followers of Jesus, ready to make a significant difference in their world.”
Newborn - Age 3
Your little ones will feel loved and taken care of while they're at church. Our First Steps volunteers exemplify God's powerful love by spending time and caring for our newborns and toddlers.
This is where the FUN first meets the LEARNING! In Jumpstart the kids learn how big God's love is and why it's so important to love like him. We do lots of fun activities and crafts to help the kids start to learn more about Jesus.
Your children will dive deeper into the Bible and into the practical application of being a Jesus follower. The kids learn about God's example and how THEY can be world changers through their example as well!
Our Soul Team is a group of passionate kids who love Jesus, love worship, and love pointing others to Him through dance and song actions. Soul Team plays a special role in leading worship at Kids Camp and in special services throughout the year.
what should i expect?
When you arrive at church one of our Kids Volunteers will help you sign in your child and direct you where to bring your child. Check in is one of the most important parts of Kids Ministry!
The safety of our kids is our number one priority. When a child is checked in they get a security sticker so that we know which kids we have in Kid's Ministry. This helps us to keep track of everyone! All of our volunteers have criminal background checks and have been hand-picked. We always have people on the lookout monitoring the spaces on both floors!
AGE APPROPRIATE MINISTRY
One of our most important goals in Kids Ministry is to create a flow in learning from the time they are in First Steps until the time the graduate high school! We want each of those transitions to be easy and seamless. By running a program and curriculum that is relevant to your child’s age they get to be a part of something that they will want to continue in as they grow!
Blueprints At Home is an eight-week series created to do as a family at home! Each week includes a family lesson that parents can do with both preschool and elementary kids, as well as a preschool video and an elementary video that will help kids learn to identify their emotions and respond to them in the way God wants!
Kids will see how to use the Blueprint of God’s Word to manage their feelings by following three steps: stopping to name the emotion they feel, looking at what is going on inside and around them to cause them to feel that way, and listening to what God says about that feeling.
Special thanks to the KidSpring ministry at NewSpring Church for providing these resources. NewSpring is passionate about creating curriculum that teaches kids the Bible in creative, age-appropriate, and relevant ways.
serving through kids ministry
We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers in Kids Ministry. If you love kids, or want to learn how to be a great leader or mentor this is ABSOLUTELY for you! Being a volunteer in Kid’s Ministry is an incredible way to impact the future of our church. But it is also a very practical way to learn as a leader yourself!
